Project Overview

HBP Group partnered with Lean Labs to reposition their online presence and break through a stubborn growth plateau. 

The challenge? After decades of relying on paid search, growth had stalled. A new website wouldn’t be enough. They needed a complete rethink of their messaging, positioning, and marketing strategy.

Our mission: Reposition the brand, create a killer user experience on-site, and set the foundation for the brand to double their revenue. 

Here’s how we made it happen.

Introduction

HBP Group, a leading UK-based provider of managed IT and ERP solutions, faced a growth ceiling after years of success. 

They partnered with Lean Labs to build a new website, reposition their brand, and reshape their messaging. The goal was to move beyond short-term conversions won through pay-per-click ads and start building organic, long-term relationships.

The result? Visitors are now exploring the site more deeply, better understanding HBP’s solutions, and showing up to sales calls better educated and already bought in.

The Problem

For years, HBP relied heavily on paid search. But paid search alone could only get them so far. Eventually, growth plateaued, and their conversions began to stagnate.

Their WordPress site wasn’t broken, but it wasn’t raking in the leads, either. The largest issue was in their messaging. Prospects didn’t clearly understand how HBP Group could help them succeed.

They wanted to double growth. That kind of explosive growth takes more than tweaking ads. They needed to step back, challenge assumptions, and rethink how they communicated their value to their ideal customer.

The Solution

Lean Labs partnered with HBP Group to go beyond a simple website redesign and build a foundation for the growth they wanted to achieve. Here’s a few of the steps we took:

  • Reframed the project from “just a website” to a full messaging and positioning overhaul
  • Delivered a compelling, modern site experience rooted in clear customer outcomes
  • Empowered HBP Group’s teams with messaging that aligned sales, marketing, and service
  • Trained the team on how to get the most ROI out of HubSpot

Our mission was dialing in their messaging and leveling up their site.

The Results

At the time of writing this case study, it’s early days, so we don’t have data yet (check back for our 90-day review update!) But HBP Group’s team is feeling some of the positive impacts already: 

  • Visitors now explore multiple pages, engaging with HBP’s story, offerings, and unique advantages before converting
  • Lead quality has improved dramatically, with prospects arriving to sales calls better informed and ready to buy
  • Every member of the organization now understands how to articulate HBP Group’s real value to customers (instead of just listing features)

HBP Group’s website is no longer just a simple brochure. Instead, it’s a frictionless funnel designed to turn visitors into customers and customers into raving fans.
